About: Harrys Kon (Charalambos Konstantinou)

I am currently a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at New York University (NYU) in NY, US and a researcher at NYU Abu Dhabi, UAE. I am a member of the Modern Microprocessor Architectures (MoMA) Lab and the NYU Center for Cybersecurity (CCS). I received my electrical and computer engineering Dipl.-Ing. (5-year) degree from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2012.

My research interests span a variety of topics, mostly revolving around hardware security and embedded systems applied on smart grid technologies and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). My thesis includes work on how to detect malicious intrusions and modifications and ensure a secure smart grid by leveraging hardware features. Towards investigating hardware-based security solutions, my work also discusses attack strategies aiming in exposing vulnerabilities and assess grid components in hardware-in-the-loop environments.

I’m looking for a position in ICS security for 2018. If you’d like to talk to me about this, please get in touch! 🙂

Set me a task in which I can put something of my very self, and it is task no longer; it is joy; it is art.
